Of Belonging is a collaborative project between my grandfather and me, containing the photographs of his past and my present. in 2012, my discovery of a vast archive of family slides collided with the start of my relationship with photography. My grandfather, Dale Greer, who passed when I was five, was the person responsible for the hundreds of abandoned photographs. I quickly became obsessed and realized that although their sole purpose was to provide documentation of my family's history, they crossed a plane that dives beneath the surface of their nostalgic quality. I formed a relationship to them as if they were my own. Together, the groups of photographs create a total sense of belonging to one another.
